An angry woman burnt her husband with hot water accusing him of having other women outside the wedlock.
The incident happened on Monday evening at Etora village in Bobasi Chache, Kisii County.
Witnesses said the woman, Josephine Nyarangi has been warning her husband, Robinson Mose, 38 against sleeping with other women outside but, he could not listen.
“Nyarangi is a hardworking woman but, her efforts could be frustrated by Mose who on several occasions has been nabbed doing bad manners with other women. She cornered him with a 'slay queen' on the road while she was leaving a shop at 7 pm and she never asked him anything,” said Edwin Orang’i.
Mr Orang’i said when Mose returned home at 8 pm, he found his wife in the kitchen boiling water for cooking.
“Mose arrived home and demanded his wife to take water for him to the bathroom. Nyarangi was angered, she took the boiling water and poured on her husband,” he said.
Area Assistant Chief, Zachariah Okeyo confirmed the incident and said Mose sustained serious injuries on his hands, thighs and legs.
“Nyarangi has been complaining about her husband going outside their marriage. She burnt the husband with hot water. The husband has been giving deaf ears to his wife’s complains about his infidelity,” said Okeyo.
Okeyo said Mose is currently admitted at Keumbu hospital where he is receiving treatment.
He called on women to find alternative ways to solve their husbands' infidelity instead of burning them with hot water.
