The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has given an update on the investigations into the murder of Paul Kyoko Nzoka, a clinical officer at Kisiiki Health Centre (KHC).
In tweet on Wednesday, the DCI said it had been given 28 days by a court of law to detain the suspects in order to carry out investigations.
The suspects are Franklin Mbithi, Samson Kataka, and Bernard Mang'ong'o who are 30, 34, and 33 years old respectively.
The case is set to be heard on 18, December, 2019.
"Early today, the three suspects; 30-year-old Franklin Mbithi, 34-year-old Samson Kataka and 33-year-old Bernard Mang’ong’o were arraigned at Kithimani Principal Magistrate’s Court. DCI Detectives were granted 28 days to detain the suspects. Case to be mentioned on 18th Dec. 2019," DCI tweeted.
According to the DCI, the three suspects were arrested by detectives in Matuu on Tuesday, after the deceased's wife reported his disappearance at a police station.
One of the suspects Franklin Mbithi Muyanga is said to have had work-related differences with the late clinical officer.
Detectives were able to recover the rope that was used by the suspects to commit the cold blood murder, and the deceased's damaged mobile phone.
