Ceberated artist Esther Akoth alias Akothee has revealed impending plans to her home church in Rongo.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Akothee noted they shall be having a fundraiser at Kuja SDA church.
The fundraiser, the artist says, will be used to set up a catering project that will be managed by unemployed youths in the church.
They are targeting to buy a sound system, chairs and tables, tents, back up generator and a pick up for easy transportation of the services.
"This initiative shall create employment to the church members who will still have the freedom to worship the Lord and still offer catering services during non-church days," Akothee noted in a post on her official Facebook page.
"Its high time we take Action and drop blame games. we can do it, will invite you once I am ready with the budget, you can also invite me to your church, if you find this initiative making sense," she added.
A few months ago, Akothee delivered relieve food to families affected by prolonged drought in Baringo and Turkana Counties.
She also launched various water projects in the North Rift areas that are prone to drought.
Her efforts touched the hearts of many Kenyans with a section of them suggesting that she should be considered for a Cabinet slot in President Uhuru Kenyatta's government.
