Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has wooed foreign investors to invest in the county.
Ongwae while speaking on Monday when he led a delegation from Kisii county government to meet with His Excellency Noah Gal Gendler the ambassador of the State of Israel in Kenya said foreign investors more particularly from Israel are welcome in Kisii County.
"I recently visited Israel where I had an opportunity to market soapstone business. Foreign investors more especially from Israel are welcome anytime to set up businesses in the county," he said.
During the meeting, the delegation led by Ongwae and Mr. Gal discussed on potential areas of partnerships and how Israel can help Kisii county development.
According to the county boss, he will continue working with both foreign and local investors to bring development close to the people of Kisii.
"I'm determined to ensure my government gets donations to fund various development projects in the county," he added.
He insisted that once foreign investors set up businesses local youths who are jobless but, graduates shall get jobs thus improve the living standards.
