Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko shocked Kenyans after she said that she would love to remarry but prefers a Pokot Man.
Speaking in August, the former Mombasa County Woman Representative stated that politics cost her marriage since her husband could not stomach constant travels.
Mboko was speaking at a rally in Baringo County after accompanying Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to pay a courtesy visit to Retired President Daniel Moi. She was among the Mombasa County delegation that visited Moi at his Kabarak Home.
“William Kamget has enabled me to set foot in Pokot land. I will not go back empty-handed,” she said as quoted by Daily Post.
The MP went on to praise Pokot men, lauding their natural hard work as they move from one place to another looking after their livestock.
Mboko said they are her perfect fit considering her endless journeys.
“I was once married from our side but my husband said I was always on the move, every other time on the move because of politics, so we separated. But I know Pokots are natural runners, they like being on the move, every time they are just on the move. With that, can you not handle me,” Mboko added.
