Benjamin Lang’at, a father of two committed suicide after his wife allegedly left him for a police officer.
The 36-year-old from Kiptagich Village in Kuresoi South Constituency in Nakuru County was found hanging from a tree near his house.
Sources told K24 Digital that the man might have committed suicide on Thursday night since he was found on Friday.
According to the deceased's brother, Amos Lang’at, the deceased had earlier on expressed his frustration after his wife left him for a police officer attached at Kiptagich post.
He further noted that she left him and started living in a house at Kiptagich, whose rent was being paid by the said police officer.
The wife moved out leaving her two kids behind with her father, whom she claimed was unable to cater for all her needs.
Before his death, the police officer had crossed paths with the deceased. He had even confiscated his motorbike, which he used as a bodaboda under unclear reasons.
The body was taken to Olenguruone Sub-District Hospital morgue.
No arrests have been made so far as investigations have been launched into his death.
