After enduring a tough first half, where the Dockers found themselves trailing 2 goals down to Union Sportive (US) Ben Guardane, Bandari gave a spirited fight in the second half to see off host in a 3 - 2 win aggregate, despite off losing 2 - 1.

Ramadhan Balala charges, had a two goal advantage to protect after a first leg 2 nil win and they only needed a draw to progress.

Bandari were caught flat footed as Guardane went ahead with minutes into play thanks to a brace from the lethal Brazilian striker Ricardo Alves Pereira; he pounced on a resultant save, before adding a second on 22nd minute after a counter attack a thing that left the Dockers gasping for breath, and back to the drawing board.

On resumption of the second half, Bandari now acclimatized to the rhythm of the host, took control of situation and gave it all as they thwarted off the lurking Guardane strike force, while at the same time tried to find a consolation goal.

As the game seemed headed for the extra time, Ugandan import striker William Wadri had a surprise package in store for the host, as he struck at the stroke of the 90 minutes to silent the home crowd, thanks to sub Cliff Kasuti's donkey work.

The victory, is a boost to the Kenya football in the continent and a consolation to the country, after KPL defending champions, Gor Mahia were bundled out of the CAF champions league, after succumbing to a 6 - 1 aggregate lose against Algieria's USM Alger.
