The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which has been the cornerstone of discussion in the country gained momentum on Tuesday as ODM leader Raila Odinga received Maasai leaders at his Capitol Hill office.
Taking to his Facebook page after he held discussions with the leaders, Odinga noted that they centred their discussion on the BBI process.
"Received a delegation from Kajiado and Narok counties led by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku at Capitol Hill Square. We held discussions on the BBI process and other issues of particular interest to their community," read his post.
The BBI debate has been the talk in the streets across the country with the initiative being a brainchild of the famous handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The handshake which came as a result of heightened political temperatures in the country led to the formation of the BBI taskforce chaired by Senator Yusuf Hajji and Deputized by Senator Amos Wako.
BBI gained momentum in the country with the train having kicked off the sensitization and popularization program of the BBI Report across the country which started in Kisii, Kakamega, then the recent one was in Mombasa.
BBI has also created tension among Kenyans and a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto questioning the legitimacy of the BBI rallies.
