Even after news spread that he allegedly cancelled a one-million-shilling cheque last week, Governor Korane has come out to dispel the reports, this time donating two million shillings towards the medical bills of a former finance CEC currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Nairobi Hospital.
The new development is now expected to ease the relationship between the family of Idris Muktar and the governor who has adversely been linked to last month's shooting.
Idris, who was one of the governor's biggest critics had disclosed plans to have the latter prosecuted over his questionable academic credentials reported to have been from University of Nairobi.
In the Sunday fundraiser that was presided by Garissa Township Aden Duale at the White Star Restaurant, a total of twenty-one million was raised to foot the swelling medical bill at the city hospital.
