Raila Odinga's ODM party was subjected to humiliation by a NASA rebel MP on Friday as the former PM stared in disbelief.
Initially, organisers of Ndemo Nyagarama's funeral, the son to Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama, had allowed the ODM party to 'take over' the function after family and relatives speeches.
But soon after the speeches ended, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi took charge despite not having been indicated as one of the Mcees.
"We were just about to call Senator Okong'o Mogeni to take over and make introductions of leaders who had attended.
"However, the MP quickly took over and thus dismantling the plan. We were only left confused since he hijacked the programme," said one of the organisers in confidence.
Thereafter, protocol breach was evident with the bereaved, Governor Nyagarama, called to make an address contrary to the initial plan.
When asked about the protocol breach, Momanyi defended his move saying it was a tradition that local MP takes over such functions.
"That is my constituency and I was entitled to introduce guests. I did nothing wrong," said the Wiper MP.
