It is said that a mother will almost always do anything to ensure that her children get the best in life. That’s exactly what a mother did to ensure her son got recruited into the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF).
The woman, only named as Jane is said to have accompanied her son to a recruitment drive in Longisa, Bomet County on Wednesday.
The middle-aged woman struggled to cross the cut line, leading to getting noticed by the recruitment officers who inquired why she was doing so.
She responded that she had come all the way from Kipyosit village to give her son moral support.
Touched by her resilience, and a show of mother’s love, the officers recruited the son who was not named.

Recruitment into the KDF is currently ongoing in various parts of the country.
The drive is often marred with allegations of gallivanting as well as conmen who promise hopefuls a chance to join the disciplined forces.
In the past, cases of people being conned a lot of money have hit the headlines. The woman’s love for her son only shows how far faith and love can take one.
The moral support definitely paid off, and her son is on his way to joining the disciplined forces to help defend our country.
