For the first time, Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has opened up about his failed open dalliance to Jubilee adminstration that dates back to 2016.
Then elected on ODM, Onyonka started courting government and held several rallies with Deputy President William Ruto across Gusii.
And on Saturday, Onyonka, who would later dump ODM for Ford Kenya, said he 'feared' a possibility of losing in 2017 elections thus the decision to quit Jubilee partnership.
"I want to remind you that I worked closely with you and Jubilee before elections. I even pledged to support your team.
"But having done some research, I found out that I couldn't have made it without Jubilee thus the reason to keep off," he said.
Mr Onyonka is not a stranger to party hopping since he was first elected on FPK before joining ODM in 2013.
He briefly worked with Jubilee, then back to ODM and later on to Ford Kenya. His father Zachary was Kitutu MP for a record 25 years before his death in 1996.
