Ngilu said some elected leaders have abandoned their work and are instead campaigning for 2022.

Speaking at Kenze town in Kitui East Sub-county on Thursday, Ngilu said the politicians engaging in early campaigns belong to jail.

She stated that it is wrong for elected leaders to abandon their work and campaign for their selfish interests.

"Kenyans are not interested in aimless 2022 campaign talks, they want progressive leaders to champion development,” Ngilu said.

Ngilu claimed that some politicians are purposefully engaging in early campaigns to derail development projects being executed by both Kitui and national governments.

She asked Kenyans to take note of politicians participating in aimless campaigns and kick them out in 2022.

The governor asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to jail all politicians engaging in early campaigns.

Ngilu said she will not engage in propaganda politics.

She accused her rivals of dragging her name into political mud.

A section of Kitui MCAs is plotting for Ngilu’s impeachment over alleged graft.

The NARC governor has denied running a corrupt government stating that she is not afraid of impeachment.
