Former presidential candidate and renowned scholar Prof James Ole Kiyiapi has predicted the formation of new alliances between politicians.
Ole Kiyiapi's sentiments came when rumours were high that the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has finally decided to work with DP Ruto in his quest for the 2022 presidential seat.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Ole Kiyiapi predicted that many politicians will break their old alliances.
''Politicians will soon begin the process of abandoning old and forging new alliances. This in order in a democracy. But we must first agree on issues of contention & level playing field. It is NOT true that issues afflicting us is just ONE person refusing to concede election results,'' said James Ole Kiyiapi.
However, Ole Kiyiapi noted that the country first needs to clear various irregularities in the country during election periods.
He noted that every time an election is done and the results are disputed, people have always pointed their fingers on one person which is not healthy.
So far, various leaders have broken their old alliances and formed new ones in search of stronger backing. This is in preparation for the 2022 general elections, which some leaders have already declared positions they will vie for.
