Kalonzo says the party is open to partnerships, adding that his focus is to see a united and corruption free country.

Speaking to journalists after the Wiper party's National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at Karen in Nairobi on Saturday, the Wiper Party leader said he is ready to take over form President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

Kalonzo said Kenyans have waited for his presidency for along time.

"I am ready for for the battle whether on Wiper, NASA or any other coalition ticket. Our key message will be unity," Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo at the same time maintained that NASA is still intact.

He said the coalition's agenda is still on course.

There are speculations that Kalonzo could partner with Deputy President William Ruto in the much awaited 2022 general election.

Kalonzo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with opposition leader Raila Odinga meant to see him automatically fly the alliance's presidential ticket in 2022.

However, there are claims that Raila may not honor the MoU since he failed to win the 2017 presidential election.

A section of Wiper politicians from the Ukambani region have been piling pressure on Kalonzo to quit NASA and independently market his 2022 presidential bid.
