Brian Morogo, a 22-year-old varsity student has declared interest to vie for a Cheragany parliamentary seat in 2022.The Karatina University political science student hopes to unseat incumbent Joshua Kutuny.During an exclusive interview with Morogo popularly known as Morogo Generali, the young politician revealed that his declaration is out of his desire to represent constituents and create a culture where everyone's rights matters."I made a decision to vie for Cherangani Member of Parliament come 2022 from my inner heart so that we can have a fair representation of the people, where everyone's right to government services are considered and taken seriously," he said optimistically.Morogo noted that his decision was also inspired by the fact that Kenyans have now trusted youths to leadership positions as seen by several youthful MP's in the current parliament."I am happy that Kenyans now are not electing leaders based on age because seeing the current parliament, there are many young politicians like Paul Ongili (Babu Owino of Embakasi East), Paul Mwirigi (Igembe South), Generali Nixon Korir (Lang'ata) among others who are representing their people well because they are aware that a better tomorrow is built today," noted Morogo. He further relates that his interest to serve the people will continue even if he fails to clinch the seat."Serving the people is not only by being a leader in position in an elected position but there are many things I will do to advocate for fair representation of the people whichever way the 2022 Cherangani results go," he added. The student further urged the current leaders to cease from politicking and serve the people who voted for them.#hivisasaoriginal #upekuzi
