Wiper Party Vice Chairman Victor Swanya said Kenyans across the country should take to the streets over the new developments.

"It is time Kenyans should take to the streets to protest over the new fuel tax. Poor people can't afford to pay more on fuel at the expense of helping the corrupt Jubilee government to repay the loans," he said.

Swanya condemned Uhuru for imposing huge tax on poor Kenyans despite corruption in government departments.

"Economic crisis has hit this country and poor Kenyans will continue suffering," he said.

The vocal politician accused National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi for betraying opposition supporters.

"Mbadi must be among the corrupt individuals we have in this because he supported the new tax proposal instead of opposing," he added.
