Residents of Nguluni in Matungulu sub county were left in awe after a two day old baby was found dumped in a thicket.Theresiah Wambua the woman who rescued the baby said that she was heading home from the market when she heard the baby cry."I was coming from the market and on reaching the scene i heard cry on checking i found a baby boy wrapped in clothes crying,i raised alarm and people gathered", Said Mrs Wambua.The incident was confirmed by Nguluni senior chief Johnbosco Ndambuki who said that the incident was reported at Nguluni police post.He said that the baby was checked at Nguluni dispensary and confirmed to be healthy.He however condemned the act and warned mothers found dumping kids that stringent measures will be taken against them." Let this serve as a warning,anyone found culpable of dumping her baby after birth will not be spared, the law will take it's course",Said Ndambuki.He said the baby will remain in the hospital under observation for the time being.
