Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s son Raila Junior has landed a new role at a local media house.

Junior's has revealed that she will become a columnist with a leading daily paper days after his father was appointed as the African Union special envoy.

Making the announcement through his Twitter account, Odinga failed to name the media house he is set to join.

“Good morning tweeps, I’ve been granted the opportunity to write an opinion piece for a distinguished daily paper, of which I feel is such a great honor and I’m super excited about, #pumped . I look forward to this new challenge. #legalizeit #weeklygoals,” tweeted Raila Odinga Junior.

This comes a few days after the African Union (AU) Chairperson Moussa Mahamat appointed Odinga as African envoy for Infrastructure Development in Africa.

Over the recent past, Junior has attracted controversy after pushing for legalization of Marijuana alongside Kibra MP Ken Okoth.

According to Junior, marijuana is known to cure ailments like cancer and HIV.

Already, Ken Okoth is preparing a bill that seeks to have marijuana legalized in the country.
