Dozens of school going students on Monday survived death by s whisker after the bus they were travelling in veered of the road and rolled severally.
The Kisii bound Easy Coach bus had majority of students reporting back to schools as passengers but they were lucky since only few suffered minor injuries.
One of the students who was part of the travelling team said the driver looked fatigued thus the probable reason of losing control and veering off the road.
"To be honest, the driver looked fatigued, he kept on losing control before he veered off the road. I thank God that we managed to survive," said the Asumbi Girls student.
Coincidentally, the accident took place few meters from where 800 meters World Champion David Rudisha was involved in another accident.
The sharp corner is synonymous with accidents, with two buses belonging to Nyamira Express company colliding head-on a few months ago.
Keroka Police boss Walter Abondo told reporters that the injured students were treated and discharged from Keroka District Hospital.
"A few of them suffered minor injuries. They were allowed to continue with their journey. We are still investigating the course of the accident," he said.
