At least four Cabinet Secretaries could be excluded in President Uhuru Kenyatta's looming reshuffle, reports the Standard.
The reshuffles, expected in a week's time, will target ministers whose dockets have been dragged into corruption scams or incompetence.
“The President might change his Cabinet anytime. He is determined to deliver on the pledges he made to Kenyans during his campaigns last year,” said the source.
“There are CSs who might not survive the onslaught. Those who were left out in the mini-Cabinet last year might be affected.”
A minister, whose docket has been reportedly linked to various scandals is said to have contemplated resigning before changing his mind.
Those in trouble could be Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, who is linked to Sh3.2 billion controversial Ruaraka.
While the minister, who bought the land when at Education ministry maintains its a private land, his colleagues Farida Karoney (Lands) and Amina Mohammed (Education claim otherwise).
Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri might also fall victim due to NCPB scandal that reportedly saw the country losing Sh5 billion to unsuspecting businessmen.
In the Treasury, Henry Rotich could also be affected over sugar importation which as seen the county nab several bags of contraband sugar across the country.
But more worryingly, the report which exposed presence of dangerous mercury in the contraband sugar would lead to sacking of EAC minister Adan Mohammed, who presided over Industrialization docket during the controversy.
Mr. Mohammed had initially contradicted his counterpart Fred Matiang'i, who alarmed the media about the dangerous metals.
