Through his twitter account, Miguna said that the county boss did nothing wrong within the confines of the constitution, adding that the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti is only beating around the bush.

He went on to urge Kinoti to find the real killers of the student rather than concentrating on who might be responsible for the pregnancy she is carrying.

Kinoti had earlier on said that he only needed three days to bring the suspected killers to book.

“Impregnating Sharon Otieno wasn’t a crime. Murder is. Matching anyone’s DNA to her unborn baby is a useless exercise. Link the DNA at the crime scene to the murderers,” said Miguna.

The remarks of the lawyer come hours after the governor called for speedy probe into the demise of the student.

The slain student alongside Nation Journalist Barack Oduor were allegedly lured by Obado’s personal assistant, Michael Oyamo before she was found dead in Kodera Forest.

Oyamo, who is the key suspect in the case, remains behind bars pending investigations into the circumstances that led to the death of the student.

The family of the deceased has maintained that she will not be buried until justice is served.
