For the better part of Tuesday, the Migori county boss spent time with a team of homicide detectives in Nyanza Regional DCI offices where he was interrogated.

Sources privy to ongoing investigation state that Mr. Obado was asked whether he knew the slain student, their nature of relationship, whether they have been in contact and if he is the father of unborn child.

While Obado admitted known the deceased student, he however denied most of other claims, terming his involvement as political.

Reports indicate that detectives extracted DNA samples from him to ascertain whether Sharon's unborn baby was his as claimed by the student's family.

Although he was whisked away in police vehicles, his lawyer Cliff Ombeta insisted that he was not under arrest.

On Wednesday, his PA Michael Oyamo is expected to take plea in Nairobi over Sharon's murder.

The slain student was abducted last week and her mutilated body was retrieved from Kodera forest.
