Mutura says that ODM Nairobi Chair George Aladwa's recent remark that the party leader Raila Odinga should "enjoy" Uhuru with regards to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) issue should act as a warning to the Head of State.

Aladwa made the remarks in Kibra last Sunday, while questioning Uhuru's delay in receiving the BBI taskforce report, where he said that if Uhuru is planning to fool the ODM side, he should be treated to the same by party leader Raila Odinga.

But Mutura, Aladwa's predecessor in Makadara, now says that with such remarks coming from ODM's main man in Nairobi and a close ally of the former Prime Minister, there could be some hidden plans in the making.

"These people can fool Uhuru. If you hear Aladwa, the ODM second in command speaking this way, it means there is some lies somewhere (Hawa watu wanaweza enjoy Uhuru, ukiskia Aladwa, namba mbili wa ODM anasema hivi, inaaanisha kuna uwongo mahali)," he said on Saturday.

He made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show, in the presence of Aladwa as a fellow panelist in the interview.

According to Mutura, the remarks also raise eyebrows on Raila's nominees into the BBI task force, where he observed that the former Prime Minister only picked experienced professionals, most of them lawyers.

Observing that Uhuru on the other hand picked religious persons, he said that Raila might have come to the table solely to champion for constitutional changes, unlike Uhuru who pocked people who can push for peace.

He added that in this case, Raila played his cards well, as his team is most likely to buldoze its way into realizing the referendum goal.

"Upande wa ODM waliweka experts wa sheria na Jubilee wakaweka watu wa kanisa wakidhani ni mambo ya amani. Hawa watawezana na wale wanasheria kweli?" he posed.

This translates to: "ODM nominated legal experts while Jubilee nominated church persons. Can they match the legal team?".

But Aladwa rubbished thee claims, saying that a the taskforce members have the ability to contribute to what the team will give out as its final report.
