Growing up, most young people had favorite songs they wanted to dance to. However, since most parents set the time which their children were supposed to return home, the favorite song would be dropped at those times, making some people get home late.
2. It was the time of retaliation.

The most annoying thing during the party was the battery. Most batteries would deplete as early as 10:00pm. In case there was no spare battery, it was the time to go home.
