The contest was a two horse race between the two leaders, with Oloo who has since crossed over to ODM, explaining that the opposition outfit was the only party that scared TNA, before Uhuru's slim win in the presidential contest.

He said that though the party had a national outlook and employed a lot of effort in impressing the entire nation in exchange for the votes, it had it very tough outdoing Raila who was also enjoying massive national support.

He said this put TNA at risk of losing, which was in turn going to humiliate Uhuru who had sworn to crash Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka in the race.

"As TNA we had a national outlook and a strong leadership with members drawn from across the nation. We feared nothing except Raila who was out main threat. He too had a great network across the nation and that was our fear," he said.

Oloo who is currently the Kisumu County Assembly Speaker was speaking on Radio Nam Lolwe on Friday morning.

Apart from the presidential win, which was unsuccessfully contested in court by Raila, TNA and Deputy President William Ruto's United Republican Party (URP) also scooped the majority seats in parliament.
