Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has defended the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party's decision to expel Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Odhiambo notes that Jumwa's expulsion was not as a result of political witch-hunt as she alleges.
Speaking on KTN's CheckPoint show on Sunday night, Odhiambo said the vocal Malindi MP was kicked out for defying the party's regulations.
"Aisha Jumwa should stop blaming some people in ODM for her expulsion because she created the problem for herself," she said during the interview.
The Mbita MP asked Jumwa to stop mudslinging the name of the Orange party and deal with her political troubles.
"I respect Jumwa a lot but it is not right for her to go around talking bad about Raila Odinga and ODM officials," she said.
Jumwa was expelled from the Orange Party a month ago for declaring support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
The defiant Malindi MP, however, filed an application in court stopping her expulsion from the party.
Jumwa has maintained that her support for DP Ruto in the 2022 general election is unstoppable.
The Malindi MP declared that she will retain her seat if a by-election is held in the constituency.
DP Ruto has on several occasions castigated Raila for kicking Jumwa out of the party, arguing that that the Orange party does not respect women leaders.
