Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria was first to dismiss the claims despite Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe confirming the warning by the President.

"I want to assure you Mt. Kenya MPs will now be focused in helping the president realise his Big Four agenda," he said.

Evidently, the last two weeks have been tough for the DP, who initially banked on the populous region in his 2022 bid.

During his tour to the Coast, none of the Mt. Kenya MPs accompanied him despite their routine in recent months to do so.

Conspicuously, the entire team, mostly led by Kimani Ichung'wa, Irungu Kang'ata and Moses Kuria and the entire brigade also missed Ruto's Friday Northern Kenya tour.

"No Community, region owes anyone. Mt.Kenya does not owe me anything," declared Ruto as the region continued to send mixed signals over his future.

Reports indicate that Uhuru whipped Mt. Kenya legislators from attending Ruto's functions which insiders say would derail service  delivery.

Lately, tensions have been reported in the ruling Jubilee party with loyalists of the DP accusing Uhuru of betrayal.
