For the third time in as many months, Governor John Nyagarama's dressing code was subjected to social media ridicule even as his defenders remained mum over the latest wardrobe malfunction.
At Kisii on Friday in the ongoing LREB summit, Nyagarama, 74, was pictured in an seemingly oversize coat that did not go well with area residents.
In Borabu Watchtower WhatsApp group, users accused the governor of negligence with some doubting his ability to lead an organised institution.
"You don't need miracles for Nyamira to perform. If he can't dress decently do you think he's capable of revamping our economy? He's just a mistake to the county," argued Musa Ntabo.
Eunice Moraa blamed the governor's spouse, Naomi Nyagarama of 'carelessness', adding that such dressing style is an embarrassment to the people of Nyamira.
"I blame the wife. She should ensure the governor is decent. The coat is oversize and clearly he's disorganized. This even depicts the image of our county government. This is quite embarrassing."
Throughout his tenure, the ODM governor has struggled to stamp his authority with his government often questioned in alleged graft and maladministration.
Last year, Nyagarama was pictured in a suit at Kalonzo Musyoka's home but was conspicuously in open shoes, a move that also led to heated local debate.
His PR team has also struggled to gain online confidence after they released a private photo of Nyagarama with his Siaya counterpart Amoth Rasanga inspecting a small cabbage farm.
