Firebrand Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter insists Building Bridges Initiative report will fix some of the problems the country has faced for many years.
The report was handed to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday at State House and it will be made public for the first time on Wednesday at Bomas of Kenya.
Present at State House Nairobi along with President Uhuru Kenyatta were opposition leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Nairobi received the Building Bridges Initiative report from the initiative's taskforce led by their Chairman Senator Yusuf Haji. Present were Deputy President Dr. @WilliamsRuto and former Prime Minister @RailaOdinga," State House reported.
Even before it's launching, the BBI report has been subjected to criticism from a section of politicians, many of them allied to Deputy President William Ruto.
Keter now says the BBI report will fix Kenya's perennial problems, adding that the report should be subjected to constructive debate.
"BBI is a good initiative, It is high time Kenyans from all walks of life, young and old, male and female, bigger tribe and smaller tribe, marginalized and privileged come together and engage constructively in a manner that is going to promote the principle of National Conversation," he said.
The report will be drafted as a bill once a number of corrections have been done before the country is subjected to a referendum for its adoption.
DP Ruto has often insisted that the country is not ready for changes of the Constitution and his next discourse could be keenly monitored by his critics and supporters.
