It is said the woman, 40, stabbed the 18-year-old man to death at their home in Kasarani on Sunday, following a marital dispute.

According to a witness, the two have been fighting, with the woman accusing the man of having affairs with local girls.

This is what is suspected to have resulted in his stabbing to death on Sunday.

“The two used to fight. But today's incident was serious. The woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the husband on the chest. He died before he could be taken to hospital,” said Mr James Ocholla, a neighbour.

The suspect was a former flower farm worker, in a village which is home to hundreds of flower farm workers, while the deceased was a fisherman.

The incident was confirmed by Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru, who added that a probe has began into the case, noting that preliminary investigations pointed at murder.

He added that the suspect has already recorded a statement with the police, and the officers investigating that matter have also recovered a knife believed to have been used in the murder.

“The body has been collected and taken to the local mortuary. The suspect will be arraigned on Tuesday to face murder charges,” he said.

Neighbours said the couple has been cohabiting for a year.

The woman is being held at the Naivasha Police Station pending her arraignment in court.
