Speaking at a funeral service in Siaya on Saturday, the former Prime Minister said that the BBI report which is currently being worked on by the BBI taskforce will be handed out to Kenyans for scrutiny once out.

He added that the taskforce's report will form the referendum question which will be taken to Kenyans for their consent and then taken to the 47 county assemblies, adding that the entire process will be made open for Kenyans.

“It will inform the referendum question which will be drafted in form of a Bill and be taken to the members of the public through county assemblies for consideration,” he is quoted by the Citizen Digital.

Raila spoke during the burial of former Gem MP Joe Donde Mama Eva, and was acoxmoanied by among others, area Senator James Orengo, MPs Fred Ouda (Kisumu Central), Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja) and Otiende Amollo (Rarieda).

Others were Samuel Atandi (Alego Usonga), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Christine Ombaka (Siaya) all of whom are in office on the ODM ticket.

This comes at a time when the rival Punguza Mizigo bill, which Raila and his lieutenants have declared war on, is in the second stage of seeking approval of county assemblies after acquiring 1.2 million signatories from Kenyans.
