Lurambi Member of Parliament Titus Khamala now says that the Jubilee administration has succeeded in duping the Western Kenya region into thinking that it is part of the government.
Speaking on Radio Citizen Wednesday night, Khamala said that the region is excluded, noting that its members said to be in the Cabinet are actually in charge of shells.
He revealed that Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa is actually holding an empty docket, with important departments, supposed to be under him having been moved to the East African Affairs docket.
This, he said, is also the case for Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, pointing out that most of the important responsibilities have been taken away, rendering him largely powerless.
‘’Eugene amenyang’anywa idara zote muhimu zikapelekwa Wizara Ya Mambo Ya Afrika Mashariki naye Echesa pia yuko vivyo hivyo (Eugene is leading a shell ministry as is the case for Echesa),’’ he claimed.
He endorsed the ongoing push for the unification of the Western Kenya region as a political block, noting that the same will make the nation have a bigger political say.
Khamala added that united and able to speak in one voice, the community will be able to endorse and rally behind one of its own in the 2022 presidential elections.
