The County boss paid a visit to the former Prime Minister at his home in Karen, Nairobi County.

Speaking on Radio Citizen's 'Mjadala wa Citizen' on Monday morning, he said that their discussion revolved around matters of national unity.

He said Raila expressed his confidence that the country is finally on its way to the desired unity and national cohesion.

"Tuliongelea jinsi nchi ya Kenya itakavyokuja pamoja (we discussed matters national unity)," said the Governor.

He added that Raila was also pleased that his National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals have joined him in working with the government.

"Pia alisema uhusiano wa NASA na serikali ni wa maana (he also hailed the emerging union between the government and the opposition union)," he added.

The meeting was confirmed by Raila in a Statement on Sunday.

"Makueni County’s Governor Kivutha Kibwana called on me at my Karen home this morning for a discussion on the state of devolved governments and other related national issues," Raila tweeted.

Kibwana also revealed meeting embattled former Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe the same day.

Murathe has been at the center of a storm following his recent attacks on Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
