In a tweet on Sunday, Miguna told off the second-term governor over claims that creation of the post was important as had been outlined in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

He argued that there is no way a PM will resolve several issues including strengthening parties. Miguna challenged the county boss to convince him that the position changed several aspects of life during the grand coalition.

“Two questions for Kivutha Kibwana who seems to have lost his mind: Why didn't the Prime Minister's post strengthen parties after the flag independence? Why didn't the PM's post strengthen parties after 2008 Nusu Mkate?” he tweeted.

Kibwana had opined that he fully supports the BBI report. He noted that the implementation of the report will transform the lives of millions in the country.

“The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report has recommended the establishment of the Office of the Prime Minister. The person should be an elected member of the National Assembly from a political party having a majority of members in the National Assembly, or if no political party has a majority, one who appears to have the support of a majority of MPs,” argued Kibwana.

ODM has been rooting for the creation of a post of the Prime Minister.
