The speaker was late last year the topic of discussion after Members of County Assembly impeached her but was retained in office by a Kisumu Court.

On October 16, Justice Nduma Nderu of the Kisumu Employment and Labour Relations Court also issued orders preventing the lawmakers against another attempts to impeach her again.

“The respondents shall not use representatives or sympathisers to interfere with the petitioner and neither shall they appoint another person to act in place of the speaker.

Any adverse actions contrary to this ruling will be considered unlawful null and void," the court ruled, as was reported by the Standard.

On Friday, the Kisumu High Court extended her stay in office, pushing her interim presiding roles to March 5.

Ayoo also claimed that the MCAs assaulted her in the process of her impeachment which was also followed by the loss of the house mace which some claimed she hid.

This forced the house to use an old mace used by the former house.

The unending rows in the house have also been condemned by the county leadership led by Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata.
