The emotional Ali revealed to the nation that his father is dead after it was alleged that he had neglected his parents. 

He took to Facebook to explain that the video circulated of his parents facing abject poverty as he lives large was pure witch-hunt.

“Dear team Said Abdalla Saido plus your ring, stop dancing on my father’s grave. I buried my father in 2007. Huyu baba wenu bandia na huyo Dada warudisheni ziwa la ngombe Vietnam. Respect my late dad. Kura haitafutwi hivi,” read his post.

His response was accompanied by photo evidence. He chose to share pictures of where his father was laid to rest.

Meanwhile, Ali has been accused by a section of Kenyans of shortchanging his constituents and the poor at large.

A number of people are not comfortable with how he associates with those he promised to fight when he gets to parliament. 

One notable action that has attracted criticism is his deals with Deputy President William Ruto.​
