As the war on graft takes heat especially in Nairobi county, President Uhuru Kenyatta has come out to give a crucial message to Integrity Centre.
The president assured the commission of his support and urged them to go even harder for the suspects in graft.
He however cautioned EACC to work closely with other agencies responsible for fighting graft and warned that institutions should never take the war against corruption as a source of competition and power battles.
Uhuru was speaking this when he met with the EACC top leadership including chairman Eliud Wabukala and CEO Halake Waqo at State House Nairobi Saturday.
“Nothing will be further from the truth to say that you do not have my support,” he insisted.
Recently, the anti-graft war has seen former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero arrested alongside other suspects.
The county and national governments have also partnered to recover riparian land that was stolen by private developers in the county.
