The opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has been in constant talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, the party National Chairperson John Mbadi has revealed.

The Suba South lawmaker made the revelation during a live interview on Citizen TV Tuesday night, one that also brought on board Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

Mbadi, a close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga said that the almost daily talks have been revolving around corruption and how the nation can finally overcome the menace.

He confirmed Uhuru's commitment to wiping out the menace, adding that he has fully involved the Raila-led party in his bid to rid the nation of its troubles caused by graft.

"We have been in constant consultations with the President and what we discuss every day is corruption. Uhuru is so committed to ending corruption in Kenya," he said.

He lauded the Head of State, noting that he has done his best and given his all towards finally achieving the dream of a corruption-free republic.

He urged the political class and the general public to hop in and lend a hand, noting that Uhuru has taken all the needed actions but can do with a little more help from his subjects.

"From where we sit he has done enough and he only needs the support of Kenyans. He has reformed all the needed institutions. As the opposition, we are fully behind him," he added.

The revelation comes slightly a year after Uhuru reached a truce with Raila, where they a Fred to among others, unite in fighting corruption.
