Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has called for the punishment of four leaders he claims are responsible for ruining the country.
He alleged that leaders who have served in senior government positions in the current Jubilee administration, and in past regimes, are responsible for turning the country into a 'slave plantation', and proposed they should be imprisoned for several centuries.
Referring to them as 'senile torturers', Miguna said the group comprises of former longtime Attorney Generals (AG) Charles Njonjo, and Amos Wako.
Njonjo served as AG for 15 years during the regime of Kenya's founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, and as a Cabinet Minister during retired President Daniel Arap Moi's government.
Wako served as AG for 20 years during Moi's and retired President Mwai Kibaki's regimes. Currently, he is serving his second term as Busia Senator.
Others who Miguna said should be jailed for 450 years are former Head of Civil Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Francis Muthaura and former Chief Justice Bernard Chunga.
"Tyrants like Uhuru Kenyatta prefer opinions from senile torturers like Charles Njonjo, Chunga, Wako and Francis Muthaura. These are despicable beasts who helped Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi, Kibaki and Uhuru to turn Kenya into a slave plantation. They should be jailed for 450 years!" the vocal lawyer tweeted on Friday.
Miguna was reacting after Muthaura, the current chairman of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), proposed a constitutional amendment to allow the winner in a presidential contest to become the President and Head of State, and appoint the closest challenger as Prime Minister.
Miguna dismissed the proposal, saying the KRA boss should not lecture Kenyans on rule of law after he was charged at the International Criminal Court (ICC) over his alleged role in the 2007 post election violence.
"Francis Muthaura faced crimes against humanity charges at the ICC: mass murder, rape, torture, mutilations and displacement of civilian populations. He wasn't acquitted. He was involved in the 2007 electoral fraud and cannot lecture us on unity, national cohesion or rule of law!" he posted.
