Royal Media Services Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai has confirmed that Citizen TV has managed to get a young boy from Narok County, whose video imitating a news reporter went viral.
Scores of social media users shared the video and tagged Linus Kaikai.
Kaikai said the national news outlet had finally located the boy, and thanked social media users for tagging him.
"We've got him! Citizen TV Kenya has traced this talented secondary school student. Thank you all (Asanteni nyote)," Kaikai tweeted.
In the video, the boy said his name was Levis Saule and he was reporting live from Mau Forest; a water catchment area that has been subject to a vicious back and forth between the Ministry of Environment, and a section of Rift Valley politicians.
He impressed social media users with his impeccable command of Swahili.
He was reporting on the ongoing evictions in the Mau Forest, and a tree planting ceremony that was attended by Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko and a section of Narok leaders.
What was clear to those who watched the heart-warming video is that the Narok boy has a passion for journalism, and if given training and guidance he could be one of the best.
