The BBI taskforce handed over the document to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Nairobi State House, proposing a raft of changes it considers necessary for the country's prosperity.

The report touches on among others, matters of political leadership, but the lawmaker has observed that it has not addressed matters to do with the runaway corruption in the country.

In an interview on Sidebar on Tuesday night, he termed the report a "white wash" which does not touch on the real issues affecting Kenyans.

"Have we sorted out the problem of Kenya? We have country that is broke, When NYS come up, people stole the money and walked away, now NYS is dead. The BBI report is a white wash," said the parliamentarian.

He added that the report as well never proposed ways to deal with corrupt leaders and those with integrity issues, therefore dismissing it.

"90% of the leaders in this country have integrity issues and that fact has not been touched," he added.

In its suggestions, the Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji-led commission has allowed the media to expose corruption cartels without the fear of defamation suits, as a tool against graft.

It also recommends that whistleblowers be allocated 5% of recovered graft proceeds.

It as well seeks to bar civil servants from engaging in business with the government as a way of dealing with corruption in government offices.
