Gedi says her name has been tainted and those who maliciously linked her to the sex video must face the law.

Speaking to her supporters in Wajir Town on Saturday, Gedi claimed that her critics and political enemies are behind the fake sex video.

She said that her enemies are working hard to taint her political career.

"The police must quickly hunt down and take action against malicious people who falsely linked my name to the obscene video," she said.

Gedi said that she will not be intimidated by people who are against her development agenda.

The Wajir Women Representative urged residents to stand with her as she champions development.

She also asked her supporters to ignore propaganda being fueled against her.

Gedi's name hit headlines late last month after an unverified sex video went viral.

The Wajir Women Representative distanced herself from the unverified sex video.

A suspect who had been arrested on allegations of creating the sex video has since been released.

Douglas Baya, an editor with a local online publication was released on Wednesday by detectives and his investigation file closed.

Detectives are now said to be hunting down a politician in Wajir county believed to have funded the production of the unverified sex video.
