The Friday meeting came just hours after managing to secure bail. He had spent 34 days in prison over the death of Sharon Otieno.

"It was a brief courtesy call at Ida's Karen home on Friday. He told her that he's ready to work with ODM team after a fallout.

"More importantly, he asked her to reconcile him with newly elected Senator Ochillo Ayacko," a source said in confidence.

Before his arrest, Obado vehemently opposed Ochillo Ayacko's candidature and instead, backed youthful Eddy Oketch who closely finished second.

After the brief meeting, Obado is said to have travelled to Migori, despite earlier indications that he was to stay at his Nairobi home for a while.

On Saturday at Upper Hill SDA, Obado who made a surprise visit, asked for prayers from members of the church.

"God has been good so far. I ask for more prayers. We need peace and development," he said in a brief address.

Mr. Obado will return to court in May 2019 where he will battle to clear his name over Sharon Otieno's murder.
