Citizen TV went ahead to air its 10 over 10 Friday show that has caused controversy and online debate among Kenyans.
The show which is hosted by Willis Raburu airs as from 10 pm, yesterday saw Jamaica dancehall artist, Chris Martin appear on the show.
"With the big deal @iamchrismartin on #10over10 bless up for coming through," reads a tweet by Citizen TV during the show.
However, the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO, Dr Ezekiel Mutua, has been steering online campaigns to have the show banned.
The campaign kicked off under #End10over10 to have the show not aired, which was supported by Dr Mutua.
"I am very happy to see the campaign against 10/10 - the obscene crap run by @WillisRaburu on @citizentvkenya. Sometimes I wonder whether the owners of the station care about morality. Would they let their kids watch the discotheque on TV? Shame on the management & owners too!," Dr Mutua had earlier on Wednesday posed.
Dr Mutua claimed without proof that the show promotes sexual immorality, which many have disputed that it advises parents not to allow their children watch.
"We must never trade our moral values for money. Media houses who allow programs like 10/10 which promote sexual immorality & perversion among the youth are undermining national development. Where do the kids who attend 10/10 go after they have been turned on?," Dr. Mutua on Thursday tweeted.
