A Jubilee party allied elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County has said that the ongoing Building Bridges Initiative forums should not divide politicians.
On Friday, Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tongí while speaking during the Kisii High School Old Boys Association founder's day and fundraising to support the construction of the School's Tuition Complex argued that the BBI forums should be accommodate every.
"Politicians should not be divided because of the ongoing BBI forums. Everyone has a right to attend such forums and it is my hope that those who won't manage to attend the forums should not start spreading lies," he stated.
The vocal legislator appealed to politicians more particularly from Kisii County to remain united and shun divisive politics because of the BBI forums.
Tongí said BBI should be owned by Kenyans but not few individuals with interests to ascend to power to enrich themselves.
"The president issued a directive that every Kenyan should find time and read BBI before giving views. I urge our politicians to go slow and give Kenyans a chance to give their views at BBI forums. Politics based on political parties should not be condoned at BBI rallies," he stated.
