For the second time under three months, Governor John Nyagarama has reshuffled his cabinet in what he says would improve service delivery among the residents of Nyamira.
Mr Johnston Obike, for the second time within the same period, has been moved to another department. The former Kisii County Secretary will now serve as Sports, Gender and Youth minister.
However, he will remain as acting Trade and Industry executive, a position he has been holding in a substantive capacity for the last three months.
Bernard Osumo, who has been serving in acting capacity are Youth and Sports docket, will now have time to concentrate on his Public Administration docket which he took over three months ago.
"The changes will improve service delivery in the affected dockets. The government is determined to fulfill it's pledges to the people of Nyamira," read a statement from Gubernatorial Press team.
But the changes have not gone well with a section of youths who now accuse Governor John Nyagarama of undermining the youthful people in the county government.
Nominated MCA George Mosiori, in a statement on Wednesday, accused the governor of shortchanging young people in his administration, vowing to bring up the matter at the assembly.
"This is catastrophic. We cannot trust old men to be leading even in dockets that deserve a young person. You cannot impose a retiree in critical youth docket. We shall handle the matter at the floor of the house," he said.
The second term ODM governor has been facing criticism from a section of residents who accuse his regime of maladministration, nepotism and grand theft.
