Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and Nyali MP Mohammed Ali almost exchanged blows during the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally at the Mama Ngina Waterfront on Saturday. It all started after the two differed over the seating arrangement at the rally.
The leaders exchanged bitter words after it emerged that the event organizers had brought fewer seats.
The county Governor Hassan Joho and co-Master of Ceremony Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir were compelled to make announcements on several occasions as the organizers tried to find a way of resolving the stalemate.
Nassir lamented that he eaders were not ready to listen to him during the event.
"You have refused to listen to my language. Now, you will hear another language," Nassir said.
Junet had asked Ali to get back to the dais, noting that the event organizers had reserved the seats for the county boss. Nyali was seated to next Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Earlier on Ali had warned Junet not to meddle into the affairs of the Coast residents. He reminded him that he will not be tolerated if he starts sideshows when he arrives in the county.
The meeting brought together 24 governors and several MPs, Women Ward Representative and Ward Representative.
