Led Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Oscar Sudi(Kapseret) and Caleb Kositany(Soy), the legislators allied however warned those who were behind the arrest of Itumbi against mistreating Kenyans.

“Na tunataka kushukuru mahakama yetu ambayo ni (and we want to thank our court which is) our last resort especially in an error where we have people who are purporting to be pretenders to the throne. Ambao wanajifanya pengine hao ni serikali kuliko ile serikali tulichagua na tunataka kuwaonya ya kwamba hawatachukua rights za wakenya na hawatadhulumu mkenya yeyote… Na tungetaka kusimama na Itumbi ambaye ni brother wetu na tunashukuru mahakama kwa kuitikia kumwachilia. (They pretend that they are the government than the government we elected and we want to warn them that they will not take the rights of any Kenyan and mistreat any of them… and we want to stand with Itumbi who is our brother and thank the court for setting him free)” Nyoro said in a statement issued at Milimani courts

Dennis Itumbi was arrested last week in connection with a fake letter alleging a plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto.

He was presented at Milimani courts on Wednesday where he was freed on Sh100,000 cash bail and restrained from commenting on social media and ordered to surrender his passport to the court.

Itumbi’s case will be mentioned on 22, July 2019.
