Embattled Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary-General Wilson Sossion has broken silence after the Labour in Nairobi ordered for his reinstatement days after he was ousted from office.
Sossion, who spoke on Monday to the press, said that he has no hard feelings towards the rivals despite plans to send him packing.
The KNUT boss said that the plan to remove him from office was a storm just like any other, adding that he is now stronger to change the lives of teachers through the push for reforms.
He also said that he was grateful to all those who stood with him when a section of KNUT top brass attempted to kick him from office over a series of disagreements.
“I wish everyone well and I thank the members of KNUT. This was but a storm which shall leave the Union stronger, better and more organized. Members of NEC are my best friends and we know this matter was more external than internal. As the chief administrator of the union. I want to assure you that work will go on and I will execute my duties well,” he said, as quoted by Capital FM.
Sossion was reinstated in office after a ruling delivered by Lady Justice Helen Wasilwa.
The KNUT boss had also dismissed claims that he is fighting President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is completing his second and final term in power, through the opposition of Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).
